Tenby Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Wales, established in 1888 and extended by the world-renowned architect James Braid.
A classic links course that beguiles visitors with its mellow undulating greens and awesome sea views.
You’re always just a stone’s throw away from a breath-taking view of the ocean, and when you reach the highest point of the 17th hole, you can savour a sublime panorama of the coastal waters with the picturesque Caldey Island in the distance.
The course maintains a continuous schedule of play, all 365 days of the year, thanks to the sandy terrain’s exceptional drainage and rainwater absorption capabilities.
Many shots are blind, the contoured greens are hard and fast, there are snaking hog’s back fairways, dense gorse, cruel pot bunkers and rugged dunes which can swallow your ball if hitting it wayward.
The course measures 6,530 yards from the tips, the opening four holes, three of which are over 400 yards long, will test even the very best golfers.
The clubhouse has recently undergone a £1.7 million redevelopment including new dormy rooms, a new Pro Shop, a 4-star rated guest accommodation called The Dunes - www.thedunestenby.co.uk a newly opened 19th Hole bar and coffee lounge and a new brasserie restaurant called The Links - www.thelinkstenby.co.uk, which is fast becoming one of Tenby’s hottest places to eat.
There is also a driving range, a practice par 3 hole and putting greens on site.
