Nestling in above the Mid Wales coastal town, Clwb Golff Aberystwyth is blessed with stunning views over Cardigan Bay. From Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula to the Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire, there isn’t a comparable panoramic view from any golf course.
The sea is visible from every hole.
Aberystwyth was one of the epic courses designed by the legendary six times Open Champion, Harry Vardon, an all time ‘golfing great’. It is probably his most spectacular in terms of views and it has stood the golfing test of time with most of his original features still present.
Our natural topography, exceptional drainage and green keeping expertise ensures that 18 hole golf is enjoyed here throughout the year.
Many of our greens are Vardon inspired fairway designs and with over a hundred years of settlement, the subtle contours that have been created provide a great deal of thought, even for the most experienced of putters.
We have recently completed a bunker redesign programme incorporating EcoBunker technology. Due to careful planning and design, the new bunkers have transformed the way each hole needs to be played and due to their consistency, they present a fair but exciting challenge to both local and visiting golfers.
