Donabate Golf Club is a member-owned club which was founded in 1925 and moved to its present location in 1939. Donabate Golf Club is now a 27 hole mature parkland course in North County Dublin just 12 minutes from Dublin Airport, that offers varying challenges on each nine created by a combination of water hazards, undulating greens and mature trees. All of the greens are sand based which makes them playable all year round.
Donabate Golf Club have state of the art practice facilities with a large putting green, practice nets, a significant short game practice area which includes an all-weather green and a larger practice area which contains 6 target greens, perfect for practicing your iron-approach shots.
Donabate is the home club of Ireland's most renowned and respected lady golfers. Mary McKenna MBE is indeed a legend in her own time. Mary has achieved just about everything there is in amateur golf, she captained the victorious Irish Ladies to a fantastic win in the Home Internationals in 2003. Before that in her own playing career Mary played on 9 Curtis Cup Teams and won 8 Irish Ladies titles, to list just a few. It would not be inappropriate to compare Mary's contribution to Ladies Golf as J. B. Carr's contribution to the Men's game.
Fintan Lacey is our resident PGA professional. His shop is always stocked up and ready to meet your golfing/tennis needs. Fintan is also available for Golf Lessons.
Donabate boasts a state-of-the-art clubhouse which provides the golfer with all the creature comforts he or she could require.

The Donabate Portrane Tennis Club project kicked off in September 2013 by a group of local residents passionate about tennis. A steering committee was formed to drive the project. Four floodlit tiger turf courts were built and were up and running in July 2016 and two more were added in September 2019.
