Carlisle Golf Club (founded 1908) is less than two minutes by car from Junction 43 off the M6 Motorway. It is situated amongst mature trees in gently undulating parkland and is one of the most attractive courses in northern England. It is a friendly members' club and visitors are made to feel truly welcome.
The tree lined well-manicured fairways and many memorable holes, augmented by a reputation for having magnificent greens, help to make Carlisle one of the finest inland courses in the North of England. The course presents a tough challenge to the proficient golfer, whilst not being fiendishly difficult for the higher handicapper.
We are proud to have held open qualifiers for 6 years in a row and Carlisle Golf Club is known as "A Jewel in the Northern Crown" — The Golf Guide 2015.
The course was initially designed by Major Charles McKenzie and redesigned in 1944 by the renowned golf course Architect McKenzie Ross.
